What personal data do we collect and from where?
The types of personal data we collect may, depending on the context, include:
- Customer information : name and contact information, including address, mobile number and email address;
- Job applications : application documents such as CV and cover letter;
- Purchase information : purchase, payment and order history, delivery and invoicing information, other information that you provide in connection with the purchase or delivery of electricity, as well as username and password to our website / our services / our customer portal;
- Technical information : IP address, electricity consumption, electricity and network supplier, facility and area ID
- Marketing and analytics :: other information relevant to customer surveys, advertisements or offers, other user-generated information that you actively choose to share through our website.
Collection of your personal data can take place from the following sources:
- GoodPower website, e.g. when you send us an expression of interest, submit a job application or when you contact us by email or phone;
- You provide your information to a provider of a price comparison service or intermediary for electricity contracts and thereby authorize them to sign electricity contracts with GoodPower;
- through an agreement, invoice or other business contact, if you are a customer or contact person for one of our business partners or suppliers; and or
- from third parties in the form of public registers such as the Norwegian postal address register (SPAR), credit institutions or one of our partners.
Why do we process your personal data?
GoodPower may use your personal data for the following purposes and with the support of the following legal grounds:
Fulfillment of agreement
- To manage purchases, complaints and payments;
- For the implementation of recruitment procedures;
- On the GoodPower website, you can buy electricity directly from GoodPower. When you buy something on our website, you enter into an agreement with GoodPower. In order for us to be able to administer your orders and fulfill our commitments to you as a customer, it is necessary for us to process the personal data that you provide or have provided to us;
- For the delivery of electricity, for payment and to give you access to our customer portal / our services and the functions (including customer service) provided there. Your personal data will also be processed in connection with purchases on behalf of or due to requirements from payment and credit companies that need them for credit information purposes.
Fulfill legal obligation
- We save invoice documents and recruitment documents in accordance with applicable legislation.
Legitimate interest
- To be able to communicate with you via e-mail, e.g. send newsletters;
- In order to handle purchases made by company representatives on behalf of companies, we process the representative’s personal data;
- In order for us to be able to provide, implement and improve our services, it is necessary for us to process personal data also in certain other cases, e.g. by analyzing customers’ order history and habits in order to provide customers with relevant information and marketing and for statistical purposes.

Storage of personal data
GoodPower takes all reasonable steps to ensure that your personal data is processed and stored securely. Your personal data is never saved longer than is permitted by applicable law and to achieve the purposes stated above. Your personal data is processed by us during the time periods specified below. We will then delete your personal data.
- Contact person for companies : Your data is saved as long as you are listed as a contact person for a company that has a business relationship with GoodPower.
- Customer : If you are a customer of GoodPower, your personal data is saved as long as you have a customer relationship with GoodPower and no later than two years after your last purchase. This does not apply if we need to save your personal data any longer due to any of the points below.
- Fulfillment of agreement : Personal data (name, social security number, address, telephone number, e-mail and payment and delivery information) provided in connection with ordering electricity is saved for as long as is necessary for GoodPower or one of our partners to be able to fulfill the agreement with you . This includes i.a. to fulfill delivery or warranty obligations.
- Communication : If you have contact with GoodPower via e-mail, for example, your personal data is stored for as long as is necessary to complete the contact.
- The job seeker : GoodPower will save your application documents (your CV and cover letter) during the recruitment process and for a period of two years thereafter to enable us to defend ourselves against potential legal claims.
- Legal obligation : GoodPower saves data to fulfill certain legal requirements, for example accounting information that must be saved for seven years according to current accounting rules.
- Consent : In cases where we process your personal data with the support of your consent, we only save your personal data as long as we have your consent to it. You can withdraw your consent at any time, see the section below “Withdrawal of consent”.
- Direct marketing : We may process your personal data for direct marketing for a period of two years.
Transfer of personal data
GoodPower always takes the utmost care when transferring your personal data and your personal data is never forwarded without our support in this privacy policy and appropriate security measures being taken. We would like to emphasize that we do not sell your personal data to any third parties.

These services include e.g. credit information from payment intermediaries and credit companies, deliveries of electricity, analyzes of information and providing search results and links. These companies get access to your personal data to the extent they need it to fulfill their mission, but they may not use or share the information for other purposes. - Protection of GoodPower and Others : We will share user accounts and personal information when we believe it is necessary for GoodPower to comply with applicable law, to enforce our Terms of Service, or to protect the rights, property, GoodPower, our users or others. This includes sharing information with other companies and organizations for fraud prevention and credit risk reduction. This does not mean under any circumstances that GoodPower sells, rents or shares personal data of customers for commercial purposes contrary to this privacy policy
- Legal obligations : Your personal data may also be disclosed in order for GoodPower to be able to fulfill certain legal obligations and may be handed over to relevant authorities when permitted and required by law.

Withdrawal of consent

Changes to the privacy policy
Please note that the content of the privacy policy may change. The new version will then be published on GoodPower’s website. You should therefore review these terms periodically to ensure that you are happy with the changes. In the event of changes of material significance, we will, however, notify you via e-mail, if you have notified us of your e-mail address, that changes have taken place.
